The course itself is free.

Textbooks
|
Each student must acquire a textbook. You can purchase one on your own,
or we have some on hand you can
purchase for 15,000won.

Donations
|
There is a suggested donation of 10,000won (purely optional) to cover snacks. Basically, if you
believe in what we are doing, consider contributing a little
bit to keep the class going.
|
| Events |
All extra-curricular events are optional, and participants will pay for their own costs on all outings (e.g. admission, rental, food, etc.)
|
| Scholarships |
If you need assistance with textbook purchases, there are
scholarships available. We don't want
finances to limit anyone from participating in the class.

Preliminary
|
Intended for students with no previous exposure to the Korean language instruction, this class begins with the ABC's, or "Ga-Na-Da" and some topics covered include:
- Greetings and Introductions
- Nationalities and Occupations
- Describing objects
- Location and Directions; Names of places

Beginner
|
This class eases the student into general conversation. You will learn how to form compound sentences and describe situations and people more broadly. If you have had any previous instruction to rudimentary Korean, but feel a bit rusty, this is the place to start for you. Topics covered include:
- Talking about family, friends and hometown
- Food and Restaurants
- Time, Date and Daily
- Mastering the Past Tense

Beginner
Intermediate
|
Level 2 will help you to get around and handle yourself in common situations in Korea, with basic phrases. You’ll learn to express your desires, explain reasons, and compare items and situations. Topics include:
- Shopping and counting units
- Transportation and Navigation
- Appointments and Communication
- Hobbies and Activities

Intermediate
|
This class is intended to increase your mastery of conversation skills in common situations, going a bit deeper in detail than Level 2. You’ll be able to better handle the “give and take” between you and your counterpart, even if the conversation goes longer. Topics include:
- Introducing others and describing occupations
- Going beyond just ordering food (recipes, recommendations, etc)
- Better shopping (now you can ask for another size or even a discount!)
- Invitations to a wedding, party, meeting.

Upper Intermediate
|
Level 4 will help you to actually live in Korea. You’re probably past the “visitor” stage, and have to deal with daily matters in Korean life. You are able to introduce yourself and ask for directions. But how about getting around the post office or making travel plans for a weekend trip? Topics Include:
- Public Facilities (Library, Post Office, Immigration)
- Phone inquiries and reservations
- Hospital and Bank
- House Chores
